Course Overview

Develop your coding skills from the ground up and grow your confidence as you learn how to write HTML, CSS and Javascript to create anything you may want. Once you’re comfortable with the OOP fundamentals, your coding career truly opens up.

Any professional in the field may question how we can fit so much information in such a short timeframe. The answer is simple: we only cover what’s absolutely necessary to get started. With the fundamentals learned, you can discover the rest by yourself much more easily!

HTML

As the first and core language of the course, we’ll dedicate a fair amount of time learning how HTML creates the foundation of every website you’ve ever seen.

CSS

This will be the second language we'll be covering and it'll also be the language you'll probably have the most problems with. CSS is a master at styling your website, but it has a lot of nuances you'll have to learn before you can master it completely.

Javascript

As a true programming language, Javascript can do it all! From coding interactive websites, to creating apps or creating browser-based games; all it takes is some know-how!

SEO

SEO stands for "Search Engine Optimization", and all that really means is how likely search engines such as Google will refer users to your website. While we won't dedicated sessions explicitly learning SEO, you'll inadvertently learn a lot of SEO quirks during the process of coding a website.

UI/UX

Just because you can code anything, doesn't mean you should code anything! Knowing how users interact with a website and what they expect are important aspects to learn! We will cover some basic UI/UX best practices as we build out our websites together.

Joshua A, Alumni

"The amount I learned in this course exceeds most university classes I have taken. In 8 weeks, I went from knowing nothing to be able to have fulsome technical conversations with web designers... If you are a marketing professional, you should take this course. It will help your career!"
